Fender Stratocaster 1960 Custom Shop Floyd Rose Heavy Relic, top condition!
This is a very unique and quite rare instrument that combines the classic vibe of the 1960s with modern functionality, weight 3.4kg.
Body is select alder with nitro finish. Neck is quarter sawn maple, '60s Oval “C” profile with nitro finish (light tint), AAA dark rosewood fretboard, 12” radius and Jumbo frets (6100).
Pickups are Fender Fat '50s and DiMarzio DP155 Tone Zone (bridge).
Floyd Rose Original bridge provides full control over the tremolo, tuning stability even under aggressive whammy bar use, and allows for dramatic divebombs and vibrato. It's a great option for guitarists who want the classic look and sound of a Stratocaster with modern functionality on stage.
Undercoat – the previous layer of lacquer (in this case classic 3-Color Sunburst), onto which the top layer was applied – here Olympic White. This practice was standard at Fender in the 1950s and 1960s. Fender often lacquered bodies first in sunburst, as it was their default finish color. When orders specified a different color (like Olympic White, Dakota Red, Sonic Blue, etc.), they simply applied a new layer of lacquer over the existing sunburst.
This is a purebred rock machine that handles heavy distortion fearlessly, yet sounds like a classic when needed.
